Hello, I have my store with woocommerce and I am very happy with it since it has great possibilities!

Now I am having some problems at checkout, from time to time a potential client contacts me to let me know that they cannot buy due to an error, the problems that were generated were due to a stock issue and another case with a coupon issue.

Now if these users did not notify me I would never have found out!!! Since I have sales, so I do not suspect that there is a problem but from time to time an error appears in a purchase attempt and I am not reporting it.

Now the question, if there is a plugin or any method to have a monitor or a track of the error messages that appear to the user during browsing and purchase.

I already tried with debug.log but those error messages are not saved, for example when a user tries to use a coupon that does not exist, the user is informed that the coupon does not exist, but as the owner of the store I never find out about that notification !!

I’ve been researching for a whole week and can’t find a solution. We are blind in terms of notifications/alerts/errors that are shown to users!!

    Hi @wetrex ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

It sounds like you would like to keep track of error messages that appear to users during browsing and purchasing on your store, is that correct?

I have done some research, and it seems like you could use a plugin such as Longivity, to be looped in on these types of errors.

While we are experts in our own extensions, third-party plugins, and themes are best supported by their developers as they have more knowledge of the features and limitations of their own plugins, and support for third-party themes/plugins is outside the scope of support we are able to provide.

This being said, should you have any questions related to the Longivity plugin, please reach out to the plugin developers for further help with this.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @roxannestoltz

    Thanks for your time!!!

I already tried with the following plugins:

    • Activity Log
    • Error Log Viewer by BestWebSoft
    • Logivity
    • Streaming
    • WP Activity Log

And no one monitors the notifications/errors that appear to users during their browsing.

The one that provides the most data is “WP Activity Log” but even so it does not report those errors.

Hi, does anyone know of a solution?

It seems very strange to me that I am the only one who wants to monitor the notifications that appear to users during their purchase process ??

    Hello @wetrex,

let me know that they cannot buy due to an error, the problems that were generated were due to a stock issue and another case with a coupon issue.

I understand your concern here, no one wants to lose orders over random errors but low stock & invalid coupons are not considered bugs. For any other issues, you can offer live chat support on the checkout page with one of these plugins: https://woocommerce.com/search/?q=Live+Chat&collections=product&page=1

If there’s a major server error, then I believe any of the mentioned plugins above can notify you about it.

You can also partially solve this problem by setting up a couple of notification workflows and have them sent directly to your inbox using AutomateWoo, most notably the cancelled order and abandoned cart.

I should note all extensions sold on WooCommerce.com have a 30-day refund policy. If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to provide a full refund.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for your time @babylon1999 !

I understand that they are not bugs, but they are a major problem in the client flow and we are still blind. So far I have not found any solution to know all the notifications (alerts/errors) that appear to potential customers. I need to know if, for example, customers write the coupon wrong (which can help me modify the name of the coupon) or if the coupon has reached its maximum number of uses and I am not aware of it. Knowing those notifications help us to react in time!

    Hi @wetrex

I understand your end goal here. You are correct that no one wants to lose orders on their site.

As you’ve mentioned that you’ve tried several plugins above and still they are not meeting your requirements, you could check the links below if this is possible thru customization.

Since custom coding is outside our scope of support, I am leaving this thread open for a bit to see if anyone can chime in to help you out.

For questions related to development and custom coding, your best bet is to ask on any of these channels for support. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, too.

    Hope this helps!
