Monsterinstghts plugin being updated

  • Hi. I have a strange one for you. All of my plugins have automatic updates disabled. However, MonsterInsights updates automatically!! I have been dealing with MonsterInsights very helpful support personal. I noticed that a cron job wordfence_completecoreupdatenotification run 3 times in a minute when the automatic update happened! This was the only cron job that ran at the update time! Thoughts?

    Hi @delawaregenealogy, thanks for reaching out.

    Whilst Wordfence checks and notifies customers about outdated plugins on their sites, it doesn’t perform automatic updates, so would still rely on the site administrator to act on them.

    As a side note that may be helpful, aside from the automatic updates that can be set in WordPress > Plugins > Installed Plugins, Wordfence has an “Update Wordfence automatically when a new version is released” setting in Wordfence > All Options so look out for other plugins also having their own automatic update setting separately.
