    Hello there,

For a long time, we have been trying to find a plugin to reserve a meeting room on the company’s internal website.

Everything should be public and accessible to anyone.

When a visitor visits the appointment page, a calendar showing days and hours of events would first be displayed.

If the appointment is taken, it should be written on the calendar who took it and why (description).

The user must be logged in to the site to book an appointment.

And we have done all this with WPforms and The Events Calendar.
Here is a great tutorial how we can do it: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-a-user-submitted-events-calendar-in-wordpress/

I have also opened a support ticket: #437255?,#467733 ,#446943?(not sure why a different id is showing in emails).

    ———-
    Here is a problem:
    – Month view of the calendar only shows events that are selected as: “Sticky in Month View”?
    – Events that are posted via WPforms are not selected as “Sticky in Month View”?

Is there anything that we can do about that?
    1. Can we show all events in month view (not only events that are selected as “Sticky in Month View”?)
    2. Can we automatically select all events as “Sticky in Month View” when posted via WPforms?
I have found that “Sticky in Month View” value is “-1” in wp_posts table.

    Best Regards

    Hi @boka003

    Thanks for reaching out.

Could you provide the version of the following? This will help me test and understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi,

We use 8.1 version of PHP

    WordPress 6.2.1

    The Events Calendar 6.0.13.1

Theme is also updated to latest version (goodlayers theme).

I hope that we can find some way to customize plugin. And this can be useful for other users too.

    Hi @boka003

To make an event sticky in Month view, you’ll need to set the menu_order to -1 from the wp_posts table. If you could implement that in WPForms, then that would be great.

Moreover, after implementing the v6 of our plugins, we have implemented a New Event Data System, which the customization provided here does not fully support. However, you could try implementing the customization to our pre-v6 versions ( try downloading 5.16.4 ).

As always, please test it first on your Staging Server before applying to your live site.

    Hello,

I have contacted WPforms but have not received a positive response.

Is there a way to edit the part of the code where the month view is displayed and to say that it displays all events and not only those that are checked as show at month view?

    Hi @boka003,

To note once more, the integration you implemented with WPForms is not saving the events properly when you’re using our V6 plugin, and that’s the reason why the events are not appearing in your month view. (The integration should work on pre-V6 versions)

You can try manually adding an event from your wp-admin dashboard, and it should show in your calendar’s month view as expected.

Your desired use-case scenario may be possible with some custom coding, but if you decide to give that a try, please note we cannot provide full support for custom implementations like that.

A good place to start would be our Themer’s Guide, if you’re comfortable doing it DIY. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

    Hi Darian.

Thanks a lot for the information.
The old version works perfectly with WP forms.
I hope the new version will be compatible with WP forms again.

As you can see, many users can post events through WP forms.

Is there a front-end possibility that users can only update events that they have published?
In case they want to change the time of the event.

    Hi @boka003

Is there a front-end possibility that users can only update events that they have published?

I think the feature you’re looking for is available in our Community Events plugin.

If that is not an option, it may be possible with some custom coding, but if you decide to give that a try, please note we cannot provide full support for custom implementations like that.

I hope that helps. If you do have other concerns or issues you need help with, please create another support topic as indicated in the www.ads-software.com support guidelines.

    Hello Darian,

Everything was working well with 5.16.4 version of the plugin.
Now it has stopped working, but the configuration is still the same.

    Plugin 5.16.4 – https://prnt.sc/rVvdp4uK3Jxl
WordPress – 6.0.5 (downgraded from 6.2.1 for testing (to be the same date as plugin release )).
    PHP – 7.4
    WP Forms – 1.8.1.2

Events are getting posted in admin area, but not at the calendar month view.
If I update events I admin area, then it will show up at calendar.

    Thanks a lot ??

    Hi @boka003

Maybe the version of the WPForms is not compatible with our old version? Were you using the same version as last time?

If I update events I admin area, then it will show up at calendar.

Unfortunately, the WPForms plugin is not yet fully compatible with the latest version of our plugins when you directly publish the submitted event.?
    ?
However, WPForms have updated their?tutorial?and suggest setting the?Post Status?to?Pending Review.?By doing this, you will have a chance to review the event, and once you publish it, it will appear in your calendar accordingly.

Before making changes to your live site, it is crucial to test them on a staging version to prevent any unnecessary downtime.

Let me know how it goes.
