My team here loves your Events Calendar Plugin for WordPress however we seem to have found a bug. We have battled this bug through 10 different upgrades and releases but it still seems to be haunting us requiring us to turn off the nice Month View so that our web visitors don’t encounter the bug. The problem is that when in Month View the labels on the calendar are not always correct. The popup is always correct but the calendar label is not, especially when we have multiple events per month. We have another plugin on our site that when disabled will allow your plugin to work properly but we require this other plugin in order for our site to run. Is there any way to keep your plugin from being overridden so that it will work properly?

    Hi it-admin,

I’m sorry you’re running into this plugin conflict. However, as outlined in our forum guidelines, we unfortunately just can’t help with conflicts like this here on the free support forum. Here are some resources that might be helpful for you:

    ? Themer’s Guide
    ? Tutorials
    ? Technical Docs

You also might want to get in touch with the plugin developer and see if they can shed some light on the issue.

    Good luck!

This is the same thing that is happening with my site https://www.midwaywoodsneighborhood.com/events/

When you load the page, all the labels are the same. When you forward to the next month, those are correct. And when you come back to the current month, those are then correct. It looks to me like a javascript display issue or perhaps a CSS issue.

Javascript is not my forte. CSS is something I am pretty familiar with, but I’m not going to study their 1700 line CSS file for this.

    Frustrating.

BTW – I might have to eat crow on this. Reluctantly I disabled plug ins and reactivated. The Facebook Comments For WordPress plug in was the problem. Ugh. I fscking hate Facebook but people want that active. Not sure what to do here.

Sorry leahkoerper I was instructed to post here when I contacted your support team via email with the same request.

mwnwebadmin thanks for sharing. I’m essentially going to have to find a new calendar plugin or download contact form plugin. I can’t see paying for premium when I’m not sure it will resolve my problem and I hate modifying the code because it will likely break the next time I download an update. Unfortunately this isn’t the first time I have noticed a conflict with the Calendar Events.

    Hi it-admin,

Thanks for your reply, and for posting here. Posting in this forum is the best way to get support for The Events Calendar, but as outlined in the forum guidelines we’re also limited here at the dot-org forum to only providing support for bugs in the plugin codebase, and not for individual conflicts.

If you are able to customize our plugin to work with Download Monitor, you can do it with a template override– that way your changes won’t be overwritten upon update and the fix will stay in place. I hope that will provide an avenue for you to find a solution.

    Best,
    Leah
