    Hi There

I am running a WordPress site that only has 1 event plugin and no additional CSS present, when using the Event Calendar system I cannot get the event page to view in a month view instead shows a listed view going from furthest in future event to the closest event date which isnt ideal either.

Please can someone help me get the event landing page to be displayed in a nice month layout which on my testing site works fine yet in production just is not playing ball.

Thank you in advance and images can be supplied at request ??

    Regards,
    Cirrus

Hi @schoolsict, thanks for providing more details here. It seems like there’s a compatibility issue here, could you try following this article here for DIVI Theme: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/divi-theme/.

Also, I was wondering if you can share the Direct URL to the staging/testing site. I’m curious also why is it working there.

Looking forward to helping you out with this one.

@abzlevelup thank you for your response, I have followed the article you provided however cannot be paying for Divi Events Calendar for $45 to test this as recommended.

Here is a link to our staging site that has a fully working month view: https://wordpress-staging.schoolsict.co.uk/events

    Update after further troubleshooting:
PHP – 7.4.30 (supported with this plugin)
Enable Safe mode – no change bad step as it disables the plugins completely so cant test and defeats the object
Theme – changed to Twenty Twenty-Two and this fixes the issue but the calendar has to work on Divi! It does on the staging test site and that is on divi!
Javascript / Jquerys – only entries here are for a social icon modification and the google analytics code

Hi @schoolsict, appreciate you providing more information and findings here. Thanks for doing the testing for conflicts as well. Let me help you further with this one.

That’s definitely weird. I suspect that this looks like DIVI Page with the /events slug selected with the default Events Custom Post Type, which is reserved for The Events Calendar. Could you try switching the calendar URL to /calendar and see if that makes a difference? Events → Settings → General → General Settings → Event URL Slug.

Please do clear any caching after updating.

    Hi @abzlevelup

I have changed the calendar slug to: https://headfirst-northyorks.org/calendar/ but this still has not fixed the issue and I even changed the single post one too for consistency but no luck either.

Can you please support me further on this matter it is greatly appreciated ??

Hi @schoolsict, sorry to hear about this. I checked the URL you provided here, seems like it is now working on my end.

    See the screen recording here:
    https://share.getcloudapp.com/Jruo0ol9

I could now view months further away and the default view for the calendar is the month view. There are no errors in the console as well.

For sure, I’d be glad to help you out further. Let me know what you see on your end. ??

    Have a great day.

Hi @abzlevelup yes that would be correct, after getting my team together we realised it was the theme builder within Divi, it was overwriting the events page to show the blog feature just like a news item page.
After we took that out and rebuilt the theme globals to exclude this page it now works as initially required.

Thank you so much for your help throughout this Abz and confirming there are no errors on the console!

    Take care ??
