• I’ve been using wp_get_archives to display links to monthly archives in the sidebar for awhile now.

Ever since this morning, instead of displaying the month and year, only the year is displayed. I looked through here and noticed a couple of people had had the same problem and received no help so I took my archives down and planned on building an archive page sometime in the future.

However, I just noticed that all of my months are gone. Where the entries once said (for instance) Wednesday, December 21st, they now say Wednesday, 21st.

I’d really like my months back.

  • Well, not sure about the archives displaying incorrectly, but the way your entries are formatted is determined by your template (mainly).

Did you change your template recently? If you think you may need to edit your template files to fix that you can read more about it here. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Template_Tags/the_date

I for instance have formatted my entries to show what the Internet Time was when they were published. This is done via formatting of my template. Doing a similar thing should deliver the results you seek.

Also, I noticed you are running WP1.5.1, perhaps upgrade to 1.5.2 which is the latest stable release. Also, your site is messed up on my screen. Allt he posts are scrunched up against and over your sidebar. I’m running Firefox 1.5 at 1024×768 on a PC.

I haven’t changed anything. That’s what’s really bugging me because I woke up one day and my template was all messed up.

I haven’t upgraded on purpose. I’ve done some heavy modifying to the code and upgrading would replace all of that with the default WordPress and I’d have to start all over again.

Also, my site looks like that because you’re running Firefox. I can’t stand Firefox so I’ve designed my site to look bad in Firefox. I used to do the same thing to Netscape users.
