Hi,

Inserted [moot-forums] shortcode to a new page, to try this one out. I wasn’t sure what should i add under plugin settings just the path of forum @moot.it or https://www.moot.it/myforumname, so tried the both options. Anyway if i use the shortcode it doesn’t make sense, but only shows the shortcode text on the page while publishing?

I’m also having the same issue, when I input the shortcode on a page nothing happens!

I’m having the same issue. Are there additional steps that need to be taken after we paste the shortcode on a new page?

Ok, looks like i have found the issue. Just use [moot-forum] as a shortcode instead of [moot-forums]

Hi all,

Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. @cedarteeth is correct; the shortcode was singular: [moot-forum]. However, I’ve added a plural form to work too so that people don’t have a chance to make this mistake in the future: [moot-forums].

Hi Mike,

I’m experiencing the same issue..

If I use [moot-forum] – nothing displays

If I use [moot-forums] I just see the shortcode being displayed.

Any idea ?

@derektroy – Did you specify the name of your forum in settings?

@derektroy – That looks right. It’s probably a conflict between either your and Moot’s Javascript or one of your other plugins.

Can you post the live URL to that page so I can check to make sure the Javascript and the CSS was correctly included?

So I just checked and everything is in your HTML page as per Moot’s documentation. I then looked in the Web Inspector and found the following error on line 10 of moot.min.js:

TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 't(document).on("mousedown.a2",function(o){t(o.target).closest(n).length||e()})')

What that means is that it’s probably a problem in Moot’s code and if so nothing I can do about it. (If not their code then it’s a conflict with your existing theme or other plugins somehow which I also cannot fix.)

Your next step would probably be to post to support question on Moot’s forum. Be sure to include a link to this page so they can understand the context. Please do come back and let us know how it got resolved?
