• Hello. I’m showing some pages by categories. For example, my pages has like 4-5 categories, and the plugin shows related categories, but is there a way to make it to show related pages only if they have 2 or more related categories? Not only by 1?
    Update on that, something? Thanks.

The plugin by default doesn’t show related posts by category. Are you using the CRP Taxonomy addon?

Even with that you there isn’t a way currently to set a minimum number of categories for comparison.

Yes, i’m using the adddon. The thing is that i’m showing anime pages with it. And they have alot of categories, some of them like 6-7. When someone check the related anime projects, they are all mixed, cuz the plugin shows even if there is 1 of them alike. So i want to set like 2 or 3 categories to be alike, then it will show that related anime project.
If i’m sure you can add function like this in the addon. Thanks.

Let me think about this. I’m not sure how it can be coded in a highly generic manner given it needs to work with all users. One potential thing is the “Primary category” feature in WP (or Yoast) which I will see if there is something that works.

Thanks for your work. I’m not good with those things, but it would be great if you could make an option like that.

@ajay Any update on my request? Thanks.

No. I develop the plugin in my spare time which I have had very little of. This will not be done for at least for another few months.

Ahh, you’re killing me. But thanks anyway. I hope you do it sooner. ??

    Hello any update on that?

I was looking into this, but I’m struggling to find an efficient solution on how this would work.

In theory this should count the number of categories of the original post and for each subsequent post and only if those are more than 2 then return them. However, this requires several queries from my current thought process which makes it quite inefficient.

I’ll prioritise this to see what a query could be to find.

I’ve filed an issue in Github that you can track – https://github.com/WebberZone/crp-taxonomy/issues/11

I’ve implemented this in latest master in the Github repository. There are a few more features to be implemented before I release v1.5.0.
