    Hello,

I would like to ask if the setting Completed, that is set as “Capture Status” under the Advanced settings, makes an order as completed, if the payment is proceeded correctly.

    Best Regards

    Hi @stevendigital

WooCommerce is responsible for the status of the order once payment is completed. By default, WooCommerce sets the status of an order that requires shipping to processing and completed if there is no shipping.

If you have “Completed” configured for the “Capture Status” option, that means the plugin will capture an authorized payment when the order’s status is set to completed.

@mrclayton Thank you for the clarification on this one. As all products on the shop are set to be virtual, this means that if the payment is done and their is no problem the order will be set to complete. So as the capture state is set to “competed” then the money will be shown on my account in paypal or I did not understand this correctly?

    Hi @stevendigital,

Yes, that is correct. If your orders are just going to completed status anyway, you might as well just configure the plugin to capture all payments.

Based on the info you have provided, I don’t see why you would want to authorize and then capture when you can just have the plugin capture immediately.

    Thank you for your response.

So I can leave it to the state of “Completed”. Should I have in mind any other options? For example Transaction Type is also set to Capture. Payater is not enabled.

Also, I wanted to ask if it is ok to have “Disable PayPal Shipping Address” checked, as this is a site that sells virtual products. Does it make any difference on PayPal’s side to have this info?

    Best Regards

If the transaction type is set to “Capture” then the capture status option doesn’t matter. The capture status option is only used when you’re authorizing orders.

Does it make any difference on PayPal’s side to have this info?

If you’re selling digital products then that option won’t matter. That option is only relevant for orders that require shipping.

    Kind Regards
