More Mini Cart Flyout & Caching Woes (SOLVED)
-
I’ve been using Super Page Cache for about 10 years, and it’s hands down the best plugin I’ve come across. I regularly test others to optimize performance, but this one consistently remains the best.
I ran into the same issue many have mentioned—the mini cart flyout would show as empty. I followed all the suggestions from this support thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/prevent-mini-cart-of-getting-cached/
I double-checked that all preloaders were off and discovered a naughty plugin had renamed my checkout and cart URLs to checkout-2 and cart-2. I fixed that, but the problem persisted.
I also recreated the Cloudflare page cache rule and ensured the “Remove Cache Buster Query Parameter” was enabled. I reset the plugin settings, tried different configurations, but nothing seemed to work. I was stuck for weeks.
Finally, I decided to disable “Keep settings on deactivation” under the advanced tab, deactivate and delete the plugin, and start fresh. After five years of using the plugin with various settings, I figured something might not be resetting or I was missing something obvious (no fault of iSaumya).
I reinstalled the plugin, set everything up from scratch—including the Cloudflare rule—and re-added Cloudflare to my site. Bam! Everything worked perfectly.
I just wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone else. This plugin is incredibly powerful, with many settings, so it’s easy to overlook something small. Persistence is key—this plugin is pure caching gold. Don’t give up!
