I have upgraded first to 2.9, then to 2.9.1. Initially nothing really happened, but then I started editing a page (I had more SQL queries during edit, that is normal), but then I published the page and the higher number of SQL queries persisted. It has lasted for almost 24 hours now and it seems there are about 260 queries/minute more than usual.
There have been no other plugins updated and no changed to the website.
One thing I am suspecting is object-cache (APC) and I am going to remove it to see how it will affect the query number.
    Anyone seen anything similar??

    Hi @grzegorzjanoszka,

If you use Query Monitor (or something similar) you can see the “queries by caller”, and even the plugin that initiates them.

Could you verify the massive increase by caller?

    Cheers ??

P.S. I do see update_meta_cache() running quite often, but I’ll look into it to see if it’s WP 4.8 bound.

Hi, how do you measure queries? Query monitor? I am not experiencing unusual number of queries on 2.9.1, in fact TSF is running very lower number of them in general. Can you post some more information?

False alarm. Just after I upgraded to 2.9.1 a crawler hit my page, sorry for that, but timing rather pointed to TSF ??

No problem! If you have any other suspicions, feel free to report them regardless ??
