More Tag not working

Hello again (my post yesterday seems to have disappeared)

On entering a more tag on a blog post, am I correct that the blog post itself should be cut off at the place of the more tag so that the post in effect has 2 pages?

I have added the more tag on this page for example and yet the full post displays on one page.

How do I get the more tag to cut the page into 2 pages?
