• for my website I would like to have different theme for each subdirectory ( not subdomain ). Its in godaddy hosting. So installing many wordpress for each subdirectory is the necessity, so that I can have each directory a unique them. Will that affect the website loading time, cache space of viewers or any other disadvantage?

So you CAN create separate installs in subdirectories, but generally, subdirectories in your file manager/FTP get displayed through subdomains. That is, the subdirectory “newsite” inside the root of mainsite.com will display at newsite.mainsite.com.

If you want to have your separate sites display with subdirectory domains, mainsite.com/newsite, then you could create a multisite network.

Each site of the multisite network can have a different theme– whether you choose subdomain type network or subdirectory type.

If you are worried about load time, you probably want to go with separate individual WP installs, not a network. Single sites are easier to optimize.
