More White screen admin

  • So everything worked up until this evening when each time I went to activate a plugin or save a setting etc etc, I would get a total white screen (not even source code). Then it finally gave out and ended up not being able to get into the admin…again, total white screen but no admin this time. It appears this is happening a lot with wordpress users and it seems to be a variety of reasons. I tried one solution to deactivate the plugins which I did but no go… still white screen. I removed all themes except the default…still white admin. Side note: the front end of the site does show as it should.

    Any solution to this problem?

  • Ok…. solved (this time around). I went into phpmyadmin and changed the theme to default and now its all back to normal so I went back to my theme. But it looks like the white screen issue is happening with others so hopefully wordpress will solve this one.

    I think its time WordPress gets to the bottom of this. A friend told me this:

    off and on – In the Dashboard scroll down to “Other WordPress News” the feed is buggy and is not rendering characters correctly (not sure why), and in the forum others are having issues with this feed.

    He changed the feed and he said that seems to work “most of the time” but overall guys, its a problem that needs to be addressed.

    There are reports of this problem all over. Only noticed it now because I’m having the same problem. Please address this issue.

    Any php error can cause a blnk page. There’s nothing to get to the bottom of.
