Most of my home page turns black. HELP!

  • Hey there,

    If you go onto my new website here: https://www.metalrecusants.com you can see that most of the home page turns black and you can’t see the sidebar and other content while all other pages work correctly (if you click on interviews, galleries etc.).
    I’m using Premium News Woo Theme and the newest version of WordPress… Anyone knows what should I do to make it work again?
    Any help much appreciated.

    See. You should have already paid for a theme, which means you get some built in support. So either you paid and it lapsed or you didn’t pay at all. And as there’s no ‘lapsing’ for a theme (you pay the $70, you get the support), I can only assume you’re trying to get free support for a theme you downloaded elsewhere, and that’s not something that benefits the community at all.

    Pay for the theme, like you’re supposed to, and go to WooThemes, as they are the experts in their themes. Someone here MIGHT know the theme and be willing to help, but the odds are against you.

    Ipstenu is right, even if it’s a free theme, you should pay for support. I can tell you what’s wrong – at some point around the videos, it starts changing < and > to &lt​; and &gt​;. Haven’t the faintest idea why that would happen or what you can do to fix it, though. I don’t think anybody here is going to know anything besides what WooThemes’ open documentation tells you.

    Thanks for the replies guys. I figured it’s something to do with the videos… so I removed it and it’s all fine now… for now at least.

    Paying for the support is not something I’m planning to do right now. I’m a beginner and I don’t have such money at the moment. I downloaded the theme legally from the Woo themes website, there’s nothing wrong I’ve done.
