    Hi @extremist87

That API request occurs when the PayPal plugin is fetching the customer’s PayPal order during checkout. How long have these API request failures been occuring? Is it more recent or something dating back a while?

The order ID is populated, so there isn’t an obvious reason why that request should fail.

    Kind Regards,

i was getting alot of failed payments with “WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway” so moved over to this plugin “Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce” and its been great, very reliable and works without issue, i had two customers tell me they were not able to place their order. The id is the paypal id, not the store id, the store would have sent them to paypal, is there some kind of testing tool to simulate requests and see where the problem occurs to provide more diagnostic information for you?

    Hi @extremist87

?The id is the paypal id, not the store id,?

Yes, I was referring to the PayPal order ID being in the request url https://api-m.paypal.com/v2/checkout/orders/70K591061E975233D

PayPal has been performing maintenance on their production servers the last couple of days, so that could be playing a part in some of these failed requests.

is there some kind of testing tool to simulate requests and see where the problem occurs to provide more diagnostic information for you?

PayPal does have a simulation tool but I don’t think that will provide much information since the requests will be simulated on their servers and not on your site.

Do you know if for these failed orders, the customer left the checkout page and returned at a later time to complete the purchase?

    it could be possible ..

I asked that question because it will help narrow down the avenues for troubleshooting.

In reviewing our other support tickets, it looks like this error has been reported and I am quite certain that it’s related to the maintenance that PayPal is performing on their production servers.

Have you encountered the error since you first reported it 20 hrs ago?

    Thanks

i’ve been having issues for a few days, even through the main paypal plugin webhook simulation still fails which may be a problem with my web server, its unusual because only paypal webhooks fail for this particular plugin, despite removing it and adding it back, clearing cache, re-authenticing, disconnecting and reconnecting my account etc which is why i switched over to this one, is there any indication when the production maintenance will be completed? do you have any links to status etc

    Hi @extremist87

Version 1.0.24 released. Here is an explanation of why you were seeing the occasional failed payment.
