Most Viewed & Most Commented don't work

I just installed the plugin on our test site and while the recent posts, recent comments, and tags tabs show up fine, nothing’s there on the most viewed and most commented tabs. Any idea why this would be? Thanks!
Also, is there any way to show excerpts for recent comments but not other posts?
