I just upgraded to WordPress 3.8 and now the mouse hover over posts to bring up the following options doesn’t work:
    Edit | Quickedit | Trash | View
In versions 3.7 and previous, when I hovered the mouse over a post in the all-posts view, these options came up, making it very easy to make changes to the posts.
No other plugins were changed or added from 3.7 to 3.8.
Is there something to turn on or activate? I’ve never had this problem before. Thanks!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Mind blowing, sure enough. I deactivated the plugin Feedwordpress version 2013.0504. As soon as I did that, the mouse-over function worked again.

I am having the same issue. I deactivated all plugins, but still cannot access my hover-over navigation on the website. Thanks for any help!

Unfortunately that means it is not the same issue, because aaronlin’s issue was resolved when the plugin Feedwordpress was deactivated.
