Move 150 users to affiliate role.

    Hi,

    I have recently started using the plugin, every new user automatically becomes an affiliate + customer role. I can’t change this manually as it makes it so the users are either one or the other.
    I have seen multiple role plugins but these aren’t working for me, I am not sure if it is because of the new wordpress version.

    Is there a way to change all past users to the affiliate role and still make them a customer?

    Hey @olliewazza,

    Thank you for reaching out! The “affiliate” user role is added only when an affiliate account is registered.

    The user can be registered as an affiliate (as seen in SliceWP > Affiliates) either by:

    1. Them signing up for your affiliate program via the affiliate registration form;
    2. Or, if you have the “Auto Register Affiliates” option enabled from SliceWP > Settings > General (tab) > General Settings (section). When this option is enabled, whenever a new user account is created, the user is automatically added as an affiliate.

    Based on your message, I’m guessing that it’s option number two. That you are automatically registering new users as affiliates. This is why you are seeing the customer and affiliate roles.

    Users that purchased and became customers before you’ve installed SliceWP, need to be added as affiliates in SliceWP > Affiliates > Add New Affiliate, in order for them to be affiliates. Once you add them as affiliates, the user role will automatically be appended to their user accounts as well.

    Thanks! I have manually done it that way, took some time.
    If it could become a feature to bulk add that would be super for future users.
