move db into another db

  • Has anyone ever moved a db ‘into’ a different db after changing its “wp_” prefix to something else.

    Scenario:

    Main DB – db1 is with wp_
    SubDom DB – db2 is with wp_

    did this
    SubDom DB – db2 is now with wpsub_

    Now, need to merge db2’s stuff into db1.

    PS. Doing all this to achieve common user table between main and sub domain, and sub domain already have 300+ posts, so need to be cautious.
