Move .dev site onto live site

Hi there,

I have been working on a new development website for the company I work for and we are getting very near to the stage where we’d like to transfer all the work created on the .dev site onto the actual website.

There is a new theme to incorporate as part of this migration process. Plus, we’d like to keep and overwrite some of the existing pages with news that I’ve created in the live site.

Has anybody had any experience in this and could point me in the right direction?

Obviously I’ve had a look around for articles which already explain how to do it, but everybody’s situation is different and you can relate to certain parts and not others.
