Move from domain1 to domain2

  • Hi there!
    I’m trying to move my website from a domain (www.provamarco2.altervista.org) to another: https://www.anni60sheffieldfc.it ….. but it doesn’t work!
    I made the switch via FTP with FileZilla …. I edited the file “wp-config.php” changing the DBUser, DBpassword and DBname with the new names of the new hosting …. and also updated the KEY … but does not work.
    I also imported the old database into the new database via phpmyadmin.
    Can someone help me understand what is wrong?

    Did you change the two URLs in Settings -> General before the move?

    Hi!
    In fact I had forgotten….Thank you!
    But now there’s some problem in any case :-/
    I’ve done these passages:

    1-canged the two URLs in Setting -> General into the old website (now “https://anni60sheffieldfc.it” instead of “https://provamarco2.altervista.org”)
    2– Upload the old Database into the new Database (the first was in altervista.org, the new in bbbell.com)
    3– Upload via FTP the entire website on domain2 (after saved one backup from the domain1)
    4– Changed the “wp-config.php” via FTP for modify the “DB name” “DB user” “DB password” and the Unique Keys and Salts.
    …..after that…nothing happens and now. At https://www.anni60sheffieldfc.it this message appears:
    Safari can not open the page “https://anni60sheffieldfc.it” because it can not find the server “anni60sheffieldfc.it”
    What have I done wrong?

    this seems like the domain is not registred correctly with the website.
    If there would be a problem with the database you would get a white page with a text saying something like “error connecting database”. With a php error you would get a blank white page…

    Make sure that you have saved the right name servers for anni60sheffieldfc.it through your domain registrar, and that the domain was properly added to your hosting provider account.

    Maybe it was a server problem, because now it works! ??
    And I have not done anything, I just asked about hosting!
    But I noticed that now no longer works on the link on the logo at the top left on “Terme di Genova” .. how can I do to put it back? Why now the header.php file is no longer writable.
    I also noticed that, though, there’s a big problem with viewing the site via mobile phone.
