Move my blog to a new domain

Hello,

I am a complete beginner when it comes to wordpress, I recreated a site for a friend and helping him bring over his blog to the new site.

The blog is currently at old.jasonsmithfitness.com/blog , we would like it to be stored at the new domain of wwww.jasonsmithfitness.com/fitness-blog

I’ve spoken to Godaddy(host provider of both sites) and they said I need to import the SQL database from the old site to the new one and then setup wordpress on the new site with the blog info.

I’m not an expert when it comes to SQL databases either. Where do I start?
