Move site to another server

    Hi
    I have moved the entire site and database to a new server running php7
    When i try to log in i just get redirected back to the log in page.
    I have tried removing the plugin folder but that still fails
    I removed the whl value in the database options and that fails
    I also changed the value back to wp-admin in the whl options, that failed
    I then removed the line for whl in the options and that also fails

    The rest of the site works completely but i cannot log in to the admin section as i keep getting redirected back to the log in with ?reauth

    Please advise

    Hi,

    I’ve got the ‘same’ problem – I think!!

    I even de-activated WPS hide login prior to copying the site to my local machine, but can’t login as I get re-directed to the ‘live’ site.

    I look forward to receiving advise on where to look to resolve this

    I removed the site from the new server and re uploaded it again with the hide log in folder.
    I then deleted the database from the new server, exported the original database via phpmyadmin and then created a new blank database on the new server and imported the original database.
    Before checking the new server to see if the site was running, i rebooted it.
    The site then worked when as before.
    Not sure why it did not work the first time. Maybe the database was not fully restored correctly.
    All working now
