Hi there. Love the plugin!! I’m wondering if there’s a way to move the text layer down to the bottom of the slide? It centers it vertically and I want it to be at the bottom. I did watch the video tutorial and see that padding was added by dragging it down but that isn’t working for me. Looking for this style for the text https://smartslider3.com/free-image-slider/

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi @reactfitness!

I just wrote to you on Youtube too, but I will paste my message here:

You can use the vertical alignment option from the parent element: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sr5KAxpRhxU&feature=youtu.be&t=20s to position a layer towards the bottom. You can also use the “stretch” option: https://youtu.be/xcx5jt140GQ?t=304 to make your row be as high as the available space is and again a vertical alignment option can be used. Or as you see in the video, other row can push down elements under it to the bottom too.

OMG thank you!!!! That was making me crazy!! I didn’t see the other options because I hadn’t clicked on the parent! Awesome.

While I’m in here is there a way to have vertical images show fully rather than force them to a horizontal and cut the top and bottom off?

    Thanks

It’s based on the “Slide background image fill” option: https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/56-slider-settings-general
how your images look like in the slider. By default the “fill” option is used which will make the image as big as it needs to be to cover the whole slider. You could rather use “fit” to have the image in the middle without having cut off parts.

OK so I did select that but looks like I forgot to save it! And my last question, I swear LOL, is there a way to have the default on the text layer not to make it 100% so I have to keep adjusting the width of it? So that it automatically goes only as far as the text does? I’m sure I’m just missing that! I set the default font and style in the settings at the upper right but didn’t see anything in there for width.

    Thanks again!!

I’m sorry, but these default values cannot be changed. What I can suggest is, that you can either right click -> copy/paste layers or entire slides:
    https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1127-slide-editor—copy-paste-layers
or you can use Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V with layers, so if you set one up the way you want to have it, you could just use that everywhere. Or you could duplicate your entire slide instead of creating completely new ones and then you would just need to replace the text and image.

Also if you have this problem within one slide, you could adjust the width of the parent element instead of the layers, so everything inside the parent would have that given width.

I actually found the text bar option which worked perfectly and I could shut off the 100% width option! I cannot express enough how pleased I am with this plugin and all the options for customizing it has!!
