Move to a different host: Destination URL

    Can the destination URL be the same as the source URL?

    If I just want to move hosts, and the new host doesn’t have the live URL yet (or just has a pseudo one), after the migration, does this plugin change the URL from the pseudo one to the live one?

    I’m a little confused about the process. It seems the destination URL has to be different from the source URL? But if you move hosts, the destination URL will be the same as the source URL, so can you tell me what the process is after the migration to take the migrated site live?

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    Yes, the Destination URL and the Source URL can be the same. The difference between the two sites will be the server IP. We have the option to enter the Server IP when you’re doing the migration. Here you would need to enter the destination server’s IP address which can be found in your new host cPanel.
