Move wp-content onto a CDN

Wondering if it is possible to move the entire wp-content directory on a CDN (like Cloud Files or similar) when using a multisite setup?

I’ve looked at W3 Total Cache and CDN tools but they typically require activation either individually or network wide. I’m really looking for a solution that is transparent.

Anyone had any luck / experience with this that they would care to share? Would be greatly appreciated.

(I’ve got no issues moving it to it’s own file server and sub-domain but can’t seem to get my head around getting it in the cloud)
