Moved from subdir to root – now getting 404s
-
Please pardon me, it’s been some time since I’ve done a WP move, and while I followed the instructions to the letter here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory things somehow have gotten borked.
Going to the site’s homepage, https://www.americathelost.com looks fine. But clicking on one of the posts or pages, and the “Not found” monster rears it’s ugly head.
I’ve updated the index.php and .htaccess, and refreshed the permalink settings. It even looks like it’s pointing to the right URL when you mouse over it… the install is in the “site” subfolder, but that’s not showing up in the URL, which is what I want. But it’s not going to the post. If I put the “site” back into the URL, it shows the post.
Please help! Big launch today and this is so not a good time for issues like this! ??
Thanks in advance…
