Moved host. Site works. When editings old posts, there is no text in editor.

    I moved hosts, following the WordPress instructions. Everything looks great.

    If I try to edit a post that was created while I was with the previous host, the edit page had no text in the editor.

    If I create a new post and then edit it, I can see the text.

    In both cases, the word count doesn’t work. It shows zero.

    I tried clearing the cache, rebuilding .htaccess, disabling all plugins, but to no effect.

    Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

    It’s working now. I changed wp-config from ut8mb4 to :

    define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’);

    After clearing the cache, this seems to have make everything including word count work again.
