• I moved my wordpress site to another account, uploaded all the files successfully, imported old database successfully – at least I see it in MySQL dashboard on godaddy, and can manage it in phpMyAdmin – but my site still isn’t coming up. I have heard I have to reconfigure my wp-config.php, but I cannot figure out how to access that file.

  • Can you clarify “Isn’t coming up”? Are you seeing a database error?

Your wp-config.php file is in your web root, you should be able to get to it the same way you uploaded all the files.

My site is https://www.bigshootout.com. When I enter that in my browser, I get a graphic stating this:

sorry…that site is not currently available.

I used the ftp tool in my godaddy dashboard to upload the files to the godaddy server. I see the config.php file there, but I can’t open it. When I try to open it in a browser, I get a 404 error.

When I try to launch it in Dreamweaver, I got an error that says:

“This page may have dynamically-related files that can only be discovered by the server”

I have the option there to “discover” it, but when I try that, I get this:

“Dynamically-related files could not be resolved because authentication failed.”

Sounds like something is set up wrong.
