    Hi,

I recently moved over to www.ads-software.com (from WordPress.com)on Bluehost… and I have no option for new plugins. I have redirected my servers, tried changing themes etc. No option for plugins on my WordPress admin page, and no choice to add any on “My Site” either. I’m not sure if I have missed a step or otherwise what I may doing wrong. I am hoping it is something really obvious and that I’m just a plum ??

    Thanks!
    screamingmeemie.com

p.s. If this isn’t the way it works, please tell me how to install a plugin.

    Hi Meemie!

Looks like the domain is still under WordPress.com registration. I’m sure if you are aware of their Guided Transfer service:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/

Furthermore, if you are looking to transfer from a WordPress.com hosted site you can also read over, if you have not already:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/view-all/

If not, a few search results on transferring to a self-hosted site from their site might be helpful to you as well:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=transfer+to+self+hosted

    Hi Jose,

Though you have already explained in detail everything in the above comment, i would still like to ask as I am not having a clear picture.

I started with the free version on the website of wordpress.com and later upgraded to Premium Account. I can’t find the plugin option now.

Looking at the post of Meemie i am assuming that if i move to www.ads-software.com from wordpress.com i will still not be finding the plugin options as the domain is registered under wordpress.com!

Could you please help me and be patient!

    Appreciate!

    Thanks
    Khan

Hi Jose, thanks for your reply!

I did read the majority of these articles before making the transfer, and followed them during. Hence why I have no idea what went wrong ?? I can’t transfer my domain over for 55 more days, but I didn’t think that had much bearing on functionality. Other than the lack of plugin option, everything seems to be as it should. I tried some videos, but they all seemed to have the plugin option under their WP tools. I may just have to be patient and wait until I can move my domain. ??

There is another support page that may provide useful as well:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/

Yes. The process does take time. :sigh: I hate waiting too. I get really eager with things like that as well. ?? I will make mention that by transferring to a self-hosted WordPress installation it is not – I repeat not – hosted by www.ads-software.com but instead by the host you chose. In your case: Bluehost. If there are issues with hosting, you reach out to them but if the software has issue please use these forums. ??

@hopetounite Please, seek help in their forums. Their happiness engineers are more than happy to help you out.

Thank you so much for your help! I’ll manage, and I’ve hopefully learned to be more patient in the future, and to try not to set certain things up in the middle of the night. Probably. Or not ??

For sure, and happy to help! ??

try not to set certain things up in the middle of the night.

I thought I was the only one who did that! I type this out at 12:01am (California) so don’t feel like you’re alone on that one. ??
