• Hello,

I have moved 2 pages to the Trash folder that I had set as Private and password-protected a day prior. I have to restore them temporarily now, but there is no more Trash folder in the breadcrumbs on the Pages page. Is there another way to restore them?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there.

One way I can think of might be if you have a backup of the site. The other possible way might be connecting to the database directly. Connecting would require a little more on how the WordPress database stores things and if you don’t know what you are doing could cause more harm.

    Thank you!

Restoring from a previous backup seems possible as I’m not savvy enough for accessing the database. I can see the db file in the previous backup, but I’m not even sure what program opens it. I tried the Wayback Machine too, but since I had set it to private, resp. pw protected, I don’t see the option to reopen the cache. If I’m going to restore the previous backup, I’ll have to make a new backup prior, right? So that I can revert to the actual version without losing anything I updated after I moved those 2 pages to trash.

I’m still puzzled as to why I the trash folder doesn’t show on the Pages page.
