Moved Servers at Bluehost, Cant Login As Admin Now

  • I moved servers at bluehost from a shared server to a dedicated server and I can’t log in now on my website. If i try to log in as admin, it redirects me back to the homepage. if i try to manually enter https://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/ it gives me the “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” error.

    I have been searching the internet for fixes but i cant find any, any help would be highly appreciated.

  • Since you just moved your site, your DNS can still be propagating. Usually this resolves itself within a few hours (I’ve seen up to a few days though :/ ).

    Try clearing your browser cache and cookies. I’d also recommend contacting the VPS/Dedicated support team at Bluehost.

    DNS propagation can take between 24-48 hours. But since it was a migration from shared to dedicated it sounds more like a permissions issue.
