• hi there,

I recently migrated my site from https://iws.gregh.co.uk/ to https://macirishwaterspaniels.co.uk/.

Everything appears ok, however I noticed whenever I hover over the images on the new site they still appear to point back to the old.

I was intending switching off the old site, however I assume this will then break the images?

The images are all stored on the new site, how can I have the blog posts/pics point at the new site and not the old?

    Thanks alot,

    Greg

thanks I had alread read and used that as the basis and followed these steps, but I still see this issue with images.

If You Don’t Care If Your Old Blog Works

1.Download a copy of the main wordpress files from your OLD blog to your hard drive and edit wp-config.php to suit the new server.
2.Go back to your OLD blog and go to Administration > Settings > General and change the url (both of them) to that of your new site.
3.Again, download your database (but keep the old one just in case), upload this new database and the copy of the wordpress core files with the edited wp-config.php to your new server. Thats it!

Try using the Search & Replace plugin to edit the image urls in your database:
