moved site (edited database url values) backend works, front end doesn't

well, that’s brief and descriptive – i’ve done this several times with success, but this guy’s database is over 200MB – i was able to edit all the file paths in the database and get it installed elsewhere and the backend all seems to work fine – i’m getting NO output on the home page, tho, and i’ve checked several of the included files and they’re all showing up (with a simple test echo).

can i get some suggestions where to look and what to look for that i’m not thinking of, any kind person…?
