Moved site to new host – error message – now not writable?

Tried to troubleshoot this on my own after moving site to Godaddy server. Seems to apply only to images. Getting this error message – “Unable to create directory /home/thevigil/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2011/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”
