Moved WP from directory to root – problems with WP Admin now

    I looked through the forums but couldnt find anything specific to this problem. If it has been addressed please direct me to the correct thread.

    I moved my site from /blog directory to the root of my site (following the instructions via WordPress). Everything is working fine except that elements of the dashboard/admin area are not. Anything with a text link is working but I cant seem to use the widgets area, screen options, help, the visual/html is just html and there are no extended formatting icons. When I try to install plugins, the page just hangs although it does seem like they install. There are other quirks like this.

    I cleared my cache a couple times but still having issues. If I re-install WP what will I lose?
