move/hide wp-login and still have double-opt-in work

Hi, I use WP 4.1 with RPR and generally I am quite happy with your plug-in.
But: I am encountering brute force attacks quite often.
I would like to use either the cookie-based protection feature or the wp-login rename function of the “All In One WP Security & Firewall” plugin, but currently both will prevent the double-opt in feature of “Register Plus Redux” plugin from working.
Do you have an alternative way of keeping a double-opt in registration intact while protecting the wp-login page?
