Moving a blog

I’m thinking of moving my blog up one directory on my site, essentially going from rodtempleton.net/blog to rodtempleton.net. Would this be a simple matter of backing up the blog with the included plugin, moving the files up one directory and then reimporting? Any support that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
