moving a comment to a new Page?

    Someone left a comment that is more appropriate on a different Page. Is there a way to move it?

  • I think it is possible only if you do it manually in the database. Go to the wp_comments table and while browsing find the comment. Then edit and change the “comment_post_ID” value to the post/Page ID you want.

    Note: it will not update automatically the comment count, so you will need to go into the wp_posts table, too and edit the comment_count value for the post where you moved the comment.

    Wow…I had no idea one could tweak the DB at that level. Thanks, Moshu…I’ll mark this one resolved.
