• Hey,

I have wordpress installed and running with the https://www.exampleurl.com linking to the blog. I would like to move the blog to /blog and have the https://www.exampleurl.com be a regular page.

    How do I do this?

//edit: for clarification, I want the root page to be part of the whole wordpress installation. Not a static non-wordpress page.

Here is what i’ve found so far: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

Many people want WordPress to power their site’s root (e.g. https://example.com) but they don’t want all of the WordPress files cluttering up their root directory. WordPress allows you to install the WordPress files to a subdirectory, but have your blog exist in the site root.

I’m trying to do the reverse. I want the blog to exist in /blog and the site root as a normal WordPress powered page.
