Moving existing WPblog to another directory

I seem to be having an issue. I have been running my blog off of my root for many years, and now I need to move it to an actual folder. The reason is I need to add a new index to support a portfolio site and my blog is now secondary.

I created a new folder last week called “life” off of root and moved everything in there. I logged in and it seemed to work. The only problem I am having now is that all of my plugins (esp Lazy Image Layout) is not working correctly. I tried deactivating and reactivating, but I may have doen this wrong. Is there a correct way to do this? I keep searching and all I seem to find is how to move to another server. My dB is in tact and my posts are fine, but its the images are messed. Since LZYImage seems to just be concerned with “wp-content” I assumed there was a root definition somewhere in the wp code. Thanks in advance.
