• Hi, i am probably stupid, but i cannot make it run. I need to revert to 1.9. while my page is loading too slowly.

    1) I installed Nextcellent
    2) Deactivated NGG
    3) Activated Nextcellent

When i click on page where shortcode for album id 6 is inserted, there is only that shortcode. I tried changing it to NGG 1.9.3 shortcode [ album id=6 template=compact ] but still shows only text of this shortcode.

I reassigned galleries to this album, still not working.

When i click on manage galleries and open one of those assigned to album 5, there are no thumbnails there, just icons of “damaged paper” and clicking on make new thumbnails does nothing (buffer loads, but still no thumbnails)

I am stuck or missing something?

    thx in advance

    Hit kozelos,
    thanks for your comments.
Maybe this is obvious, but make sure there is no space between ‘[‘ and ‘a’

In addition to what WPReady said, you can read the section ‘Using shortocdes’ on the wiki for more infomation:

oh guys.. it is obvious, but i was blind. As i am lazy person, i just copy/pasted shortcode from other site and changed number to 5 and thats was it. so now i can see content of the album right.

Unfortunately the thumbnail problem in gallery settings persists. Normally i would ignore it, but i have to see those thumbnails to write comments to photos..

Also note that some but not all albums may be totally empty (no galleries in the album) after you switch from NGG 2.0.6x to NextCellent. This has at least happened to me both on a live web site and local testsite, both having 100+ galleries and also albums which include albums, not galleries (ie. nested albums).

You can check this of course by NextCellent admin –> manage albums, and may need to rebuild the empty albums from scratch.

I have already done that, albums were empty, I simply reassigned galleries to the albums. But now i face other problem – there are corrupt thumbnails in gallery settings..
