• Hi all,

I have moved a development site on one host company’s server to a different host company server. I have moved sites before but usually on the same server, the problem I have here is that within the database there are still references to the old host server although the site visually seems unaffected.

These references are located in the following tables:
    -wp_options x5
    -wp_postmeta x2
    -wp_posts x204

    And a few other tables.

wp-config.php has been updated with new database details, I have ran the Velvet Blue Update URL’s plugin which seemed to update a lot of URL’s so I’m confused as to how there are still references in the database.

I know it’s going to be tough for someone to lend a hand without actually seeing the database etc but any suggestions welcome.

    Thanks,
    Al.

It looks as though there are some plugin tables in the database that are referencing the old host server even though these plugin have been deleted.

An example is the Layer Slider plugin, this was deleted earlier but tables still remain in the database. Is there anyway to clean up the database and remove tables from plugins that are no longer installed?
