    this is an css question. you will need to experience or edit the css yourself.
    i cannot guide you every step of css edit on theme. maybe try

    #siteinfo { padding:0 0 0 30px; }

    I do ask you for a lot of CSS and WANT to figure it out on my own, but I don’t know the phrasing/prefixes to use. Is there a list somewhere? Not just for Mesocolumn, maybe, but for other CSS as well?

    if you’re using chrome, use inspect element and you should see the css code in right bottom panel when you highlighting the html element. and you will know what to edit or add in custom css. other than that, basically css can be learn and adapt when you try it yourself.
