Hello, if you migrate your site, you will have no problem because your child theme will be cloned.

Just to report back. I had big problems doing this.
I use godaddy shared hosting plan.
    – I cloned the site to the new url then got 404 error.
    – told to delete the existing godaddy webbuilder i had in place.
    – also i deleted the clone in order to start fresh.
    – that didnt work because it said there was a wordpress site already there.
    – i was then told by support i have to remove the url folder in file manager. That didnt work.
    – i was then told the url doesnt match in the database, i never ever touched the database.
    – because i deleted the folder in file manager, i deleted the website. Had to pay to recover it.
    – then tried to clone again. it didnt work. wordpress site already axists in the location.
    – I was then told i dont actually need to clone the website accross i just need to change the URL location.
    – then it was re-directing to the initial domain.
    – finally spoke to someone from support ( the 8th person) then went into the database and fixed everything.
    – it is now working >,<

This is a very brief recollection.
    very frustrating.

I have to do this operation again, because i created an OCEANWP site and child theme once again under a different domain name, which i plan to move to a new domain name.

Is this operation called migration ? and do i use the clone tool as i have done in the first instance ?

    thank you

Hello, I can do nothing about migration or moving to a server, it is related to your hosting company, and usually, the hosts migrate your site for free.

PS: Small recommendation, GoDaddy is great for domains names but not good at all as host, I would recommend you to go on a good host like Cloudways, SiteGround or Kinsta, they have PHP 7 by default and their support very responsive. I don’t know now, but I know that not long ago GoDaddy was not able to put PHP 7 on the sites hosted on their server which is very bad.
