Moving site and changing domain

  • I moved my wordpress site, and changed the domain name. I edited the database to match my new domain name and everything is working perfectly. The only problem I am having is when you log into the wordpress dashaboard (put your username and passowrdin and click sign in) it redirects me to the old domains dashbaord URL. I thought I had everything changed and I have done this with other sites with no problem but for some reason after loggining in, it goes to my old domain’ wordpress dashbaord. Any Ideas? thank you in advance.

  • I’m having a similar problem. I also recently changed my domain name, except unlike you, my problem isn’t that it redirects to my old site. Instead, the WordPress dashboard doesn’t allow me to edit my website. It’s so frustrating and I have no idea what’s wrong…

    Do you have access to your database? The only way to fix your problems is if you can edit your database.
