    moving a site to different hosting
    I have events calendar pro 4.1.3 and calendar 4.1.4

    moving from one host on rackspace to a new host on media temple

    two issues

    1. i would like to make sure it is working right on the new site before changing dns, the product key is tied to clearwatercasino.com, the new hosting that will become is at clwtr.us, is there some way to enable the calendar on the host i have moved to? other than buying a seperate license?

    2. I need to perform updates on my event calendar to current versions, i have hesitated as last time i tried it it broke the site (view was corrupted, wasn’t looking like it did before, css issue? i didn’t originally set it up)
    How do i back rev or prepare to back rev in case updating breaks it again?

    Hi @michaeladams,

    If you have a license key you can detach it from the current domain via this screen (you’ll need to login first). Once you add it to your new site, it will be linked to the correct domain ??

    How do i back rev or prepare to back rev in case updating breaks it again?

    Taking a backup and – of course – knowing how to restore that backup is great precaution to take place. Testing on a staging site can also be worthwhile and can give you confidence that things will work as expected or, if not, provide an opportunity to review any problems and think about ways of addressing them.
