Moving Site Title and tagline to center or right of logo

I am really loving this theme so far but still trying to do some tweaks.

When I uploaded the logo it immediately made the entire header image section much taller. So I am looking to shrink the height of the header image area.

I would like an option to move the site title and tagline to the right of the logo instead of the way it is currently below it.

I would also like to shrink the height of that whole area, maybe eliminate the padding. I don’t really need the header image much taller than the logo because that is a lot of empty space. Thanks in advance
