Moving subpages to left sidebar in WP-andreas01

  • I am currently building my fourth site using the fantastic WP-andreas01 theme as my base (thanks Andreas!).

    On this new site, I want to be able to have the subpages nested underneath their parent page on the page menu in the left hand side bar. Also, I only want the subpages to display if the site user is looking at either the parent page, or one of the ‘sibling’ pages.

    For example, if I have a menu that looks like this:

    Home
    Page 1
    Page 2
    Page 3

    …and then I click on “Page 1”, it should display the subpages:

    Home
    Page 1
    – Child 1a
    – Child 1b
    – Child 1c
    Page 2
    Page 3

    Any ideas? I have looked long and hard for plugins, but nothing seems to do what I want it to do.
